Olympic Hot Tub Awarded the Locksin Thompson Award for Total Commitment, Professionalism and Outstanding Achievement in Retailing

(Seattle, WA – January 23, 2006) – Seattle-based hot tub retailer Olympic Hot Tub Company was recently awarded with the Locksin Thompson Dealer of the Year Award for the second time by their hot tub manufacturer, Hot Spring® Spas, makers of the world’s number one selling brand of portable spas.

Alice Cunningham and Blair Osborn, owners of Olympic Hot Tub, were recently honored at an awards ceremony in Palm Springs, CA at the manufacturer’s annual dealer conference and product show. Olympic was selected from among 850 Hot Spring dealers worldwide to receive this symbol of excellence because of their commitment, professionalism, product knowledge, and outstanding customer service. Winners also embody an entrepreneurial spirit that enables them to recognize, adjust, and progress through the ever-changing challenges of the retail market and the spa industry.

Olympic Hot Tub has been honored as a Hot Spring Territory Dealer of the Year four times since 1992, and also received six Retail Excellence Awards. In addition, they were the very first recipient of the Locksin Thompson Award in 1992 when the award was first initiated by the manufacturer.

According to Mike Dunn, vice president of sales and marketing at Hot Spring Spas, the Locksin Thompson Dealer of the Year Award is Hot Spring Spa’s highest worldwide retail award honor. “It is with great pleasure that I present this award to the team at Olympic for their remarkable efforts during 2005,” said Dunn. “It is no wonder they are an 11-time award winning dealership—they have consistently displayed tremendous dedication and commitment to providing the local market with the utmost in customer service and dependable, superior products.”

Cunningham says that aside from receiving this honor, the best reward she can get is to put a smile on a customer’s face. “I have people coming in after they’ve owned their spa for a month or two, with a big smile on their face, telling me that they can’t believe how much they benefit from their spa; how often they are using it, how much closer they feel to their loved ones and how much more relaxed they feel,” said Cunningham. “There’s a lot of reward that comes with hearing that kind of positive feedback.”
