Alice Cunningham, owner of Seattle-based Olympic Hot Tub, has been named Western Washington's Small Business Person of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Cunningham founded the business with her husband, Blair Osborn, in 1977. The Northwest's oldest spa and hot-tub company, Olympic has more than 12,000 customers in the Puget Sound area and Alaska. It has 30 employees and stores in Seattle, Fife and Everett, as well as a sales and service center in Tukwila. The criteria used to select winners included staying power, sales growth, innovations and community-oriented projects.
