1. Develop your core philosophies and values and never waver. Focus on creativity, professionalism, and dedication to the customer.
2. Provide a quality product, outstanding service, and commitment to being the very best provider in your industry. In doing so, you'll be well set up to succeed.
3. Work "on" your business, not just for your business.
4. Develop a total satisfaction plan for your customers - that makes your product or service easy to buy, easy to own, easy to refer.
5. Empower your employees to solve problems on the spot.
6. Ask for feedback and respond with programs and customer-focused initiatives that address every concern before, during, and after the sale.
7. Share news and information to keep your customers satisfied and engaged long after the sale.
8. Create a referral plan that encourges happy customers to refer you to others. Capture testimonials for posting on your Web site. Frame "thank you" notes where customers can see them. Use the messages in your advertising and promotional materials.
9. Learn to delegate and concentrate on doing what you do best.
10. Take care of yourself. Without your health and good ideas, your business won't have a chance to succeed. The best ideas come when you're relaxed.
