If you’re including a sauna in your new-home construction plans, the best place to put it is near the master bedroom suite in the master bath. New home and remodeling trends show larger bathrooms and walk-in showers. That way you’re just steps away from the bed for an early-morning sauna or soothing way to drift into better sleep.
While you’re at it, make sure to leave a space at least 4 feet by 4 feet – most people choose 5 by 7 or 6 by 6 – so the family of four can fit comfortably or two grownups can lounge with plenty of elbow room.
