How To Clean Your Spa/Hot Tub Shell: A Step-by-Step Guide By Olympic Hot Tub’s Valet Team

Shell close-up Hot Spring Aria-2After a dark winter, it can be shocking to see how bad your hot tub looks in the sunlight.

If you’ve just “seen it in the light”, take a minute to read the tips from our Valet Team Coordinator, Rob Anderson our Olympic Hot Tub expert on how to clean your hot tub.  With his tips, you’ll be able to restore your hot tub to like-new and making your water care regimen easier.  The cleaner your shell & pipes are, the better water quality you’ll have on a consistent basis.  Have a supply of soft dry towels and elbow grease on hand, grab the products and tools mentioned below and you’re ready to start.

Thanks to Rob for these Valet cleaning tips:

1. System Flush first. If your tub hasn’t been drained or maintained for a while, add SeaKlear System Flush® the night before draining so all the work on the shell doesn’t go to waste when you turn the jets back on. System Flush cleans out any mold, organic matter or bio-film from the plumbing lines.  Let sit overnight and then drain.  Cleans out all the gunk that you can’t see in pipes & jets ensuring a bacteria free clean start with your new water.

2. The Best Hot Tub Cleaning Products. Gel Gloss and the Merlin Eraser Sponge are the best products for cleaning your spa shell.  Gel Gloss is a great all around cleaner for the shell.  It’s thick and effective for removing oils, dirt, and scum from all spa surfaces and won’t scratch.  It protects your spa surface and repels dirt. What more could you ask from a product?  Got tile or a stubborn stain line?  The Merlin Eraser Sponge works wonders on both.  Warning: Suds are the enemy of a clean hot tub. Avoid any products that create a lot of suds, which are very difficult to rinse out.

3. The Tools.  One of the tools our Valet Team uses in the field is a soft bristle deck brush with a long handle so they can scrub the shell without having to crawl into the tub.  This especially helps when the tub is up against a wall and they can’t walk around the sides.

Other tools that come in handy are a sump pump and a small wet dry vac.  The sump pump will speed draining time and the wet dry vac will get the last bit of water out of the foot well.  All of these tools really cut down on the time it takes to clean the tub. Even so, a proper cleaning will take at least a couple of hours.

4. The Best Way to Restore Your Hot Tub Finish. If your Hot Spring Spa has a newer style smooth shell (Pearl, Champagne Opal, etc.), you probably have some minor scratching from everyday use.  This can easily be resolved using Meguiar’s Scratch-X sold at most auto parts stores. To apply rub it on with a soft cloth or sponge and buff out with a terry cloth towel. Repeat as necessary to bring back that factory-new finish.

5. While you’re at it, spiff up your cover. 303 Aerospace Protectant is, in my opinion, the very best product to use on the hot tub covers. A little bit goes a long way, but it is important to make sure the cover is clean prior to applying.

6. While you’re at it, clean your filters before replacing and refilling the tub with water. See the post from April 2nd that’s all about filter cleaning and care.

7. Refill, sanitize and balance the water. Heat and enjoy. Happy Soaking!

If the thought of cleaning your hot tub is too overwhelming or time-consuming for you, why do it yourself?  Trust your hot tub to Olympic Hot Tub’s professional Valet Service.  Hire Olympic Hot Tub’s Valet Team for a one-time drain and clean or ongoing service. You can relax! We take the work out of relaxing. You’ll find your hot tub clean and ready whenever you want to use it.

What’s The Easiest Way To Deep Clean Your Hot Tub? Use SeaKlear Spa System Flush

SeaKlear logoCleaning your hot tub plumbing lines used to be an impossible task.

And, who ever thought of actually doing it?

Turns out its really important to clean out those lines because most “icky stuff” hides where you can’t see it.  Now deep clean your hot tub the easy way.  SeaKlear Spa System Flush®  actively “scrubs” your pipes to dissolve the gunk that builds up inside the parts of your hot tub that you’ll never see.

Spa System Flush attacks the root cause of most hot tub water care problems: the build up of organic waste.  Organic contaminants like oils, lotions, cosmetics, hair products and sweat concentrate in hot tub water to produce scum lines, cloudy water, clogged hot tub filters, bad odors, foaming and and.  These contaminants collect and build up in your hot tub circulation system and filters.

Spa System Flush restores hot tub plumbing and jets to like-new condition. The effectiveness can be seen in minutes.  It’s compatible with all sanitizers, including chlorine, bromine, and ozone.  Contains no harsh chemicals and it’s made right here in Washington state.

It’s so easy to use! Just add Spa System Flush to your water the night before you drain your Hot Spring Spa .  First remove all filters. Turn on circulation system to high with all jets running.   Add ½ bottle per 400 gallons to the hot tub. Run the jets at high for 15-30 minutes.  We recommend you leave System Flush in the tub overnight to ensure plumbing and parts get a thorough cleaning.  The next day drain water and clean the hot tub shell.  A small amount of Spa System Flush on a sponge can be used to wipe down the residue on the walls (rubber gloves should be worn).  Use entire bottle for hot tubs over 400 gallons.  Reinstall filters, refill and balance hot tub water.

When to use SeaKlear Spa System Flush:

1. Any time you change sanitation methods, flush out the plumbing lines with Spa System Flush.  This “purge” removes all conflicting sanitizer residues from inside your hot tub and helps you stabilize your water chemistry.

Making the switch to SilkBalance for your Hot Spring Spa for the first time?  If you are converting an older or previously used hot tub to SilkBalance, you must prepare the tub before using it.  The hot tub plumbing lines must be PURGED with Spa System Flush before draining and changing the water in order to get the best results.

2. When you’ve purchased a used hot tub or one that has been sitting for long periods without use.

3. Anytime your hot tub smells musty, moldy or you can’t get the water clear or balance the water chemistry.

4. We also recommend using SeaKlear Spa System Flush once a year for all hot tubs to ensure a bacteria free start to your new hot tubbing season.  Make it habit to use Spa System Flush when you spring clean your tub for a truly deep clean.  The active ingredients leave your hot tub with a fresh, clean scent.

Get SeaKlear Spa System Flush online or in any Olympic Hot Tub our store.

Hot Tub Filters: 10 Things You Must Know to Keep Your Water Clean and Safe

10 Things You should Never Do To Your Hot Tub

7 Water Care Headaches You Can Eliminate When You Use SilkBalance

Hot Tub Filters-10 Things You Must Know to Keep Your Hot Tub Water Clean & Safe

KEEP IT CLEAN

Long-lasting, effective filters make your hot tub soak pure pleasure.

Hot tub filters are your friend.

They keep the bad stuff out of the water so you and your tub stay healthy.

They work hard. If you help them, they can even cut down how often you have to drain and fill your hot tub.

Here’s what to do to keep filters working properly and your eater clean:

1.    SWITCH.  Right now, get on the SilkBalance program to maintain your hot tub water and keep filters in their best working order.

2.   ADD AFTER SOAKING. Every time you get out of the hot tub, add SeaKlear Shock and run the jets for 10 minutes. Once a week, add SeaKlear Sanitizing Granules.

Save $5.00 on every Hot Spring Filter during our SPLASH! specials in April. At all stores or Olympic Hot Tub’s e-store.

3.   HIGH PRESSURE WASH. Every four weeks, rinse filters using the high-pressure nozzle on your garden hose – best with a Water Wand hose attachment.  Don’t forget to unplug the hot tub, or turn off the breakers on 220v models, before removing the filters!

4.  CLEAN. At least once a month, give the filters a thorough cleaning. Always clean when you drain and refill the hot tub for best water quality. To clean, spray with Seaklear Spa Filter Cleaner. Even filters that look clean can be clogged enough to cause flow and heater problems. You need dishwasher detergent or filter cleaner for a thorough cleaning that strips out oils and fine particles trapped in the pleats.

IMPORTANT: With the advent of  SeaKlear’s new, better filter cleaner we recommend its use rather than putting your filters in the dishwasher. We no longer recommend filter cleaning in your dishwasher.

5.  RETURN PROPERLY. When you return the clean filters to the compartment, make sure that fit properly so 100% of the flowing water is filtered.

6.  SANITIZE.  Always maintain proper water  chemistry.   Filters are the first step to clean water, but they do not kill bacteria.

7.  EXTRA HELP.  Use Scumbugs in your hot tub to absorb oils, eliminate the scum line and  improve  filter effectiveness.

8.  TWO SETS ARE BETTER THAN ONE.  Consider having two sets of  filters, so one can be cleaning the hot tub while the other is getting a deep cleaning in Seaklear Filter Cleaner Soak.  Now’s a good time to purchase another set while all Hot Spring filters are on sale.

9. RINSE OFF.  Rinse off before using the hot tub to leave less work for the filters and make water care much easier.

 10.  BETTER FILTRATION.  Switch to TRI-X filters-exclusive to Hot Spring Spas. A TRI-X filter   filters 10 times more gallons per square foot than other filters and it provides over twice the filtration area of a standard filter – 65 square feet compared to 30 square feet. The TRI-X filter works not only by using the element’s surface area but also by using the media’s depth.  With regular cleaning, TRI-X filters should last twice as long as regular filters.

Sale on TRI-X filters now at all Olympic Hot Tub stores and Olympic Hot Tub’s e-store.

Making sure your filters are working to keep everything unwanted out of your water is another reason to relax.

Happy Soaking!

10 Things You Should Never Do To Your Hot Tub

Ten things you should never do to your hot tub.

Ten things you should never do to your hot tub.

We get calls every day from Olympic hot tub customers who want to know what to do for their hot tubs.  The conversation frequently turns to what they didn’t do that led to the reason for their call.

So, hot tub owners, in the spirit of the New Year, our Service Center staff has compiled the top don’ts for your Hot Spring Spa!  Take heed & keep your hot tub in great working order and ready for a soak anytime you’re ready.

Here’s the list:

  1. Don’t turn the power off and leave your hot tub full of water, especially in the winter. You’re courting disaster if the temperature plummets. Repairing a frozen hot tub is costly! A Hot Spring Spa is engineered to run 24/7 at the lowest energy use of any spa. In case you’re looking at a frozen hot tub right now, call our Service Center 206 431-2876.
  2. Don’t leave your hot tub full & running if you’re not going to maintain the water. This is a sure fire way to end up with a stinky, unsanitary mess that will require a lot of work by you to clean up. (You could always hire our Valet Service~). Don’t know how to maintain the water? Call our Service Center now! 206 431-2876.
  3. Don’t let your hot tub cover get so heavy that it can’t be lifted. It takes the enjoyment out of using your hot tub, costs you money in extra heating costs and will damage the lifter.
  4. Don’t take the hot tub filters out of the filter compartment and forget to clean them before they dry out. You’ll be looking at purchasing new filters.
  5. Don’t forget to clean your filters every 2-3 months even if you aren’t using your hot tub and replace them every 2-2 ½ years. Clean filters are a must to maintain clean water.
  6. Don’t forget to change your silver ion cartridge every 4 months to maintain maximum efficiency and clean water.
  7. Don’t use the hot tub as a bathtub to clean off your dirt & grime. Shower before hot tubbing. As for bath additives, bubble bath is a no-no! No foam in the hot tub, please!
  8. Don’t forget to check your  ozonator periodically to find out if it’s working.  Research indicates that up to 60% of older ozone generators are not producing sufficient levels of ozone for sanitation. The presence of bubbles from the spa’s ozone jet does not indicate adequate production of ozone. Is your ozone generator functioning properly? Find out now with an Ozone Detector.
  9. Don’t get into the hot tub if the water is green, has a musty smell or is overflowing with foam. That’s a sure sign that the water is not clean and sanitary.   Drain & refill and follow the start-up procedure for adding water care products.
  10.  Don’t ever cover your hot tub with clear plastic or enclose it in a plastic green house. Plastic will magnify the sun’s rays and trap heat, which can cause the cover insulation to melt.

And, number 11, don’t forget to use it often!

Hot Hot Tub Tips for Winter-Get Ready for Cold Weather Now

Submerging yourself in the heated water, surrounded by the massaging jets and aromatic scents feels absolutely delicious in the winter months.

The philosopher, Alan Watts, used to say, “Consciousness loves contrast.”  On a cold day, you body craves heat; on a hot day, you crave cold. Instead of curling up by the fireplace piled with blankets and sweaters, try lolling in the hot tub in the buff.

Your Hot Spring Spa is the perfect warm up tool to use after you’ve raked the leaves for the 10th time this fall, frozen your buns at a Seahawks game, taken in the new snow at Crystal or just strolled through the Arboretum.

I think cold, rainy fall and winter days in Seattle are made for hot tubbing and snowy days, too.

Here are some hot tub tips from our Head Service Technician, Reg Akright, which will make your hot tubbing this winter the best ever:

STOCK UP ON WATER CARE SUPPLIES.

There’s nothing worse than going for a dip and realizing you’re out of shock, SilkBalance or chlorine. With company coming for Thanksgiving, you’ll want your hot tub clean and ready to go. Olympic’s estore has some terrific specials on all SeaKlear Spa Water Care supplies on now.  Stock up now and relax knowing you’ll have enough hot tub supplies to last through the winter.  Better to be stocked up than scrambling.

KEEP UP WITH WATER CARE.

Although it’s easy to forget to maintain your hot tub in the winter, it’s extremely important to continue upkeep even if you’re not using it as much as you would during the summer.  Keep the water chemistry in balance and sanitizer levels up.

 CALL NOW FOR SERVICE.

You’ll want to fix anything that’s not working 100% before the worst weather sets in.  Most hot tub soaking is at night and on weekends.  It’s no fun to head out to the hot tub for relaxation and find no heat or no jets.  Call the Service Center Monday-Friday 1-800-431-2876 for service.

CALL OUR VALET SERVICE.

When time is money and the weather’s bad, call for Olympic’s valet service. Ready for a one time “get set for winter cleaning”?  We’ll do everything necessary.  Your hot tub will be completely drained & cleaned. Filters cleaned and the Silver Ion replaced. The cover will be clean & conditioned. Ozone performance checked. Start-up products added. Regular price $295 Now $249.00. You can’t beat this service!

CLEAN YOUR FILTERS.

Use our SeaKlear Spa Filter Cleaner Spray a liquid product that greatly improves filter life and efficiency. It is specially made to cleanse body oil & lotions from spa cartridge filters.  Used regularly it will extend filter life and assures proper filtration. If they’re over 2-3 years old, you’re in need of new ones. Order now on our e-store.

MAINTAIN THE WATER LEVEL.

The water does evaporate more rapidly off the hot tub surface during cold, dry weather.  Make sure that the water is above the skimmer line so you’ll have continued filtration and operational jets.

INSPECT YOUR HOT TUB COVER IN DAYLIGHT.

Check for for tears, leakage, or other deformities using our  Hot Tub Cover Checkup Sheet.  If it’s too heavy to lift, you’re wasting money on energy costs.  Installing a well fitting cover in good condition is the number one way to preserve your hot tub’s cleanliness AND save on energy dollars.  Time for a new hot tub cover? They’re on sale now!! Call Olympic’s Service Center 1-800-431-2876 to order.

ADD MUSIC AND ACCESSORIES!

Make your hot tub area festive. With the right accessories, you can make your hot tub experience extra enjoyable. Why not add a new step, safety rail, or a towel rack? How about some cup holders, an Outcast Wireless sound system, a floating checkerboard/drink tray? There are a variety of hot tub accessories that you can add to your hot tub to make it convenient and stylish. Check out our estore for the latest hot tub accessories.

ADD AROMATHERAPY.

Stock up on Spazazz Rx Aromatherapy Crystals designed to target specific ailments while soaking in your tub. Try one or more of these Spazazz blends: Muscular Therapy; Joint Therapy; Detox Therapy; Respiratory Therapy; Energy Therapy; Stress Therapy.

Make this your best hot tub winter ever!

How to Shut Down Your Hot Tub For the Winter~Advance Warning if You’re Leaving for the Sun

Staying in Puget Sound?  STOP! Don’t shut your hot tub down. Winter hot tubbing is the best experience.

Snowbird leaving for the sun? Lucky you!  Paying a little attention to your hot tub before you leave will guarantee it’s ready for start-up in the spring. We know that you’ll be looking forward to coming home and soaking in your Hot Spring Spa.

Here are some tips from our service center on what to do to winterize your spa. Take these steps to avoid a frozen hot tub that will be costly to fix.

1. Check your Owners’ Manual first. Follow the instructions in your Owners’ Manual for draining. Lost your Owners’ Manual? Check out our Olympic Hot Tub Company website for one that corresponds to your model. Not sure which model you own? Call our Service Center 8-5 Monday-Friday 206 431-2876.

2. Drain Caps. Do not replace the drain caps after draining. You’ll want any remaining moisture in the plumbing lines to evaporate.

3. Filters. Clean the filters and leave them in a dry space over the winter. Do not re-install in the tub.  The damp will cause them to mildew and you’ll need new ones in the spring. We’d love to sell you new filters, but only when you need new ones-not for mildew.

4. Remove all water. Wet vacuum all water from the floor of the hot tub. With most Hot Spring Spa models this won’t take long. No wet/dry vac? You’ll have to bail the remaining water.

5. Clean! Give the shell a good cleaning. We use and still recommend Gel-Gloss for deep cleaning and shell preservation.

6. Cover. Clean the cover top and bottom. Use 303 Protectant on the top. Replace on hot tub. Do NOT put a plastic sheet over the hot tub & cover. If you do, the cover will mildew. Mildew is not a pleasant sight or odor!

7. Hire Olympic Hot Tub’s Valet Crew. If you’ve got too much on your mind and don’t want to do-it-yourself, call our Valet Crew. They’re pros who will do the job quickly and efficiently. For a one time winterization, they’ll drain, clean and detail the spa shell.  Clean the filters. Clean and condition the cover.  Clean the cabinet. Wet vacuum out the jets, drain and suction lines as well as the bottom of the spa so there’s no water left to freeze in the foot well. Your hot tub will sparkle.

SNOWBIRD SPECIAL: Save $50. on a complete winterization of your hot tub. No muss, no fuss and the peace of mind knowing your hot tub won’t freeze and it will be ready for clean water when you come home next spring. Only $199. Call the Service Center today: 206 286-0700.

Hot Tubs & Belly Button Germs: What You Bring Into the Hot Tub, Stays in The Tub Unless You Kill it!

New meaning to ‘navel-gazing’: Scientists study belly button bacteria

You think belly button bacteria won’t affect your hot tub? Read on!

A group of scientists at North Carolina State University has taken navel-gazing to another level. Jiri Hulcr and his colleagues at the Raleigh, N.C., school recently launched the Belly Button Biodiversity project as a fun way to interest people in microbiology and teach them about the bacteria that’s found on skin.

The belly button might seem like an unusual place to conduct research, but in many ways it’s the most ideal spot for germs.

“The belly button is protected, making it a safe haven for normal skin microbes,” says Hulcr, a postdoctoral research associate who leads the project.

Another plus is that few people wash this area with soap. “That’s great for bacteria,” explains Hulcr, because you get more interesting things growing there. (So far, they’ve found lots of Staphylococcus epidermidis, which is the most common bacteria found on skin — but also bright yellow colonies of Micrococcus luteus, and gooey globs of Pseudomonas.)

A third advantage is that the “belly button doesn’t produce any special secretions or oils, such as other protected body parts, such as the nose or armpit,” Hulcr says. “So the microflora inside the belly button is fairly representative of the rest of the body.” Yikes!

“People are always surprised at how much stuff grows from even a sample taken on a cotton swab, then grown & photograped,” Hulcr says, adding that a moderately disgusting discovery their project has made was that “very few people wash their belly button with soap.”

In the nearly 500 samples collected since the project began in February, Hulcr says they’ve found the diversity of microbes you would expect to see on skin — “almost universally bacteria, some molds and fungi, but not as many yeast as anticipated.” (Finding yeast on skin is quite common.)  Your belly button is a “lint” trap for fabric fibers from clothing as well as dead skin, fat, sweat and dust the scientists said.

What to do?

Clean your belly button. That would keep many nasties from your hot tub.

Take Hot Tub Sanitation seriously! It’s obvious that a lot of the microbes, germs & pathogens tracked into your hot tub are from from belly buttons.  Hot water without the proper sanitation can be a perfect place for some germs to multiply. Get serious about keeping your hot tub clean & you’ll never have to worry about what might be growing under the lid.

The perfect solution for an existing hot tub is SilkBalance which acts as a water preservative keeping water pristine & preventing bacteria growth.  Keeps water sparkling with no odors, no mixing, testing or additions. All natural, it cuts chemical use & requires no chlorine only shock.  Not only is your hot tub sanitary, your skin becomes silky smooth after every soak.  Perfectly formulated for Hot Spring Spas.

Hot Tub Water Care: Never Use Clorox in Your Hot Tub!

See this photo of a bottle of Clorox? One of our Valet Team members found a bottle of  it at a hot tub owner’s home.  Said hot tub owner was using it to sanitize his hot tub because he thought it was better than dry chlorine.

While we’re not the “hot tub police”, we will speak out when we see something that’s just plain WRONG!

You’ve purchased a Hot Spring Spa to bring you relaxation and peace. Our goal at Olympic Hot Tub Company is to make it as easy as possible to take it easy.

Using Clorox as a sanitizer is so wrong.

Once chlorine is in solution (like Clorox) it has almost zero disinfecting capabilities. Bleaching is all it’s good for.  Use it on your sheets & towels. I do. It works great. But, you add chlorine to your hot tub water to disinfect it; to kill bacteria.  Clorox will not disinfect your hot tub water, has the wrong pH and will give you  very dry skin if you do use it.

Use only dry chlorine to sanitize and make sure the formula is sodium dichlor NOT calcium hypochlorite which is for swimming pools only. (Read that label!)

If you’re all tied up in knots and can’t get your water chemistry right and your hot tub does not have clean, clear water with NO SMELL, send us an email or check out our e-store. We sell only products that are right for hot tubs and spas like SilkBalance natural water care!

Need a water care lesson at tubside? We’re happy to do that or drain, clean and maintain it for you.  Our Valet team gets rave reviews. Call the Service Center 206 431-2876 to schedule valet service in select locations in the Puget Sound area.

7 Hot Tub Water Care Headaches You Can Eliminate When You Switch to SilkBalance

6 Signs That Mean You Need a New Hot Tub Cover Now!

6 Ways to tell if you need a new hot tub cover.

Tip #1 If it looks like the one on the right, you NEED a new cover pronto.

Did you know? The insulating value of your cover is the biggest factor in minimizing your hot tubs heating costs.

Take a minute and give your hot tub cover a check up.  Does it feels like it weights 200lbs, has torn, brittle or flaking vinyl, or just plain stinks? If you’re nodding, “yes”, NOW is the time for a new cover.  Dry, dirty, brittle vinyl will crack and affect heat retention and water cleanliness.  A heavy cover means that it’s taking on moisture and losing heat.

Don’t let an old cover ruin your hot tubing experience and run up your energy bill.

Olympic Hot Tub is the exclusive dealer for Sunstar® manufactured spa covers that fit your Hot Spring®, Caldera®, Tiger River®, Limelight®, Hot Spot® or Solana® Spa perfectly for the highest energy efficiency.

Do the following Cover Check-up in daylight.  Download the form and take it out to the hot tub.

If your cover fails all of the points, call the Service Center 206 431-2876 for a new one.

1. OUTER VINYL:

If your vinyl is torn, cracked, dry or brittle, you should know that vinyl breakdown affects the safety, heat retention and beauty of your cover in addition to the cleanliness of your spa water. Torn, cracked vinyl can’t be repaired easily; if it’s dry and brittle, no repair is possible. Condition and clean your top vinyl monthly with 303 Aerospace Protectant. If you can’t revive it, you need a new cover.

2. STRAPS & LOCKS:

Properly working straps and locks affect the safety of your hot tub Check the condition of your adjustable tie down straps and locks to make sure they work. If they’re not, call Olympic Hot Tub’s Service Center  for replacements. 206 431-2876.

3. FOAM CORES:

A sagging cover Indicates broken foam cores which indicates you have gaps in the seal. You definitely need a new cover!

A “puddling” cover suggests broken or bowed cores. They will get worse over time causing the foam to break under the weight of accumulating water.  Water weight can cause the metal channel to bend or break and vinyl to tear; saturated covers will not dry out.  You need a new cover!.

A heavy cover shows that the cores have absorbed water; needs replacement.  Foam cores are critical to heat retention and safety.  Cores can be replaced but for a cover over two years old, core replacement is not recommended.  Older vinyl shrinks from exposure to heat & cold, making replacement difficult. When it’s too heavy to lift, you need a new cover.

4. HINGE:

Is the hinge torn? Precious heat can escape if a hinge tear goes beyond the Heat Seal Shoe (approx. 2″ in from the outside edge).  If your hinge is torn less the 6″, it may be repairable; we can help.  If over 6″, we recommend a new cover.

 5. HEAT SEAL “SHOES”:

The “shoes” seal the gap where the two halves of the cover come together, preventing heat loss at the hinge.  If a shoe is torn away from the hinge, or damaged, consider having it re-stitched.  First remove the foam cores from the vinyl cover.  If the shoe is very badly damaged you may need a new cover.

6. SMELL:

Musty? Moldy? Stinky? There’s no cure for those smells. Bad smells are a sure indicator that you need a new cover.

Don’t let an old cover ruin your hot tubing experience and run up your bill.  Call our Service Center 206 431-2876 or the Olympic Hot Tub store nearest you for a  new cover for your hot tub.  Blog special: Order online through our estore‘s 10th Anniversary Celebration. Use the code: Celebrate.  You’ll receive FREE a 16oz bottle of  SeaKlear Clarifier and a 4oz jar of  Spazazz crystals- $a bonus of $31.90!
