Great hot tub party tips! Make sure to also keep the hot tub cover on until right before you use it. This will help ensure that it is nice and warm for guests.

Shelby:
You're right about dry skin as an underlying condition such as eczema.
Great advice to see a dermatologist if dry skin persists especially in winter.
Thanks for writing,

Beth:
Thanks for sharing your experience with RLS and hot tubbing. Great idea to enclose that deck
so you can hot tub in the middle of the night.. I hope other RLS sufferers get the message about
hot tubbing for relief and better sleep.
So glad you've found something that worked better than medication!

When to See a Dermatologist If these changes do not bring relief, make an appointment to see a dermatologist. Very dry skin may require a prescription ointment or cream. Dry skin also can be a sign of an underlying medical condition such as eczema. A type of eczema called eczema craquelé or asteatotic eczema develops in older adults. A dermatologist can examine the skin and explain what will help alleviate the dryness and irritation. References: American Academy of Dermatology. How to Protect Your Skin When Jack Frost Bites. Presented during a focus session (FOC 616) at the Summer Academy Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology, August 2007; New York City.

Have suffered RLS for almost 30 years. Using meds has helped, but installation of hot tub on back deck, then eventually totally enclosing deck as finished room, has made using hot tub in middle of the night as RlS interupts sleep easy in all weather, and the relief is unbelievable and I sleep through the night after a good hot 10 - 15 minute soak, flexing and paddling legs. Best investment.

Hello Linda:
Love the robe idea for company. And, the hat is a must. We had one customer who kept hearing tinkling bells as she
soaked in her hot tub. She finally realized that her parts of her hair had frozen. The ice trapped strands where clinking
together every time she moved her head!
Send us a photo of that perfect hat when you find it.
Thanks for adding to Hot Tub Fashion Week.

Ahhhhh...I've purchase a few plush white "spa" robes to have handy when company comes to go tubbing...they are wonderful, don't look baggy...and are just like the kind you see in expensive spas. :)

Now, I'm searching for the purfect lil hat to wear while tubbing...just to ward off the ice that tends to form in you hair on those realy cold nights.
